Roving Blue® is a company that is well known for their ozone-based water purification devices in the mainstream market, such as the O-Pen®, for purifying on the go, and the Ozo-Pod® 10, the world’s first home ozone appliance for purifying water and sanitizing fruits and vegetables. Roving Blue® doesn’t just make clean water, they make “Water that Cleans™”.

Roving Blue® is launching a funding campaign for the parts needed to make the first production run of the GO3™. They are offering a limited edition “Early Adopter” GO3™ water bottle pre-sale promotion package which will allow early adopters to receive $336.50 worth of product for $199:

Roving Blue® is a proud sponsor of Cindy Todd’s Backpacking for Behcet’s Disease Awareness

Cindy will be traveling with a sponsored Roving Blue O-Pen™ Tactical Black portable water purification device in support of her cause. We asked Cindy to share a little of her background with us as she prepares for her adventure:

Cindy Todd, Backpacking for Behcet’s Disease Awareness and Suicide Prevention

Cindy: “OK, let me start out by saying that I have Behcet’s Disease (rare autoimmune disease). I also love backpacking! I go as often as my schedule allows. I love waking up to the sound of birds, opening my tent door to see the orange of the sunrise over mountain tops AND I love the solitude. All my problems seem so small when I’m enveloped by nature.

I also value the hardships that comes with this sort of isolative, physically and mentally painful exercise. After a couple days of isolation, your mind starts to rebel. After seeing countless trees, wildflowers, etc. your mind wants more. This is the best! Yes, I know many of you avid backpackers are saying “The best part! Are you crazy?!” But it’s true. It’s an amazing opportunity to practice quieting your mind. The first few backpacking trips I did, I spent a huge part of it struggling mentally. I was frustrated. But after each one, the time of mental agony, reduced. Now I don’t experience the mental struggle at all. I’m able to quiet my mind instantly.

I’ll be backpacking from South Lake (near Bishop, California) to Dusy Basin in the Sierra Nevada’s in 2.5 weeks. So excited! I love backpacking in the Sierra Nevada’s and talking to people on the trail about my cause and answering specific questions about Behcet’s Disease. I love the alpine lakes and how you’ll be in forest and suddenly all the trees fade away. It’s exhilarating and makes me feel free! I’m heading to Switzerland in October to do some unforgettable backpacking and the Salton Sea area in November.

I’m proud of my mission and hope there are a few more people that are aware of Behcet’s Disease!”

ROVING BLUE ® is Awarded a $25,000 IMAG Grant from WEDC

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

ROVING BLUE ® is Awarded a $25,000 IMAG Grant from WEDC – will promote globalization of their Advanced Portable Water Purification Systems

Lena, WI – April 12, 2017

Roving Blue Inc., a Wisconsin manufacturer of advanced water purification systems, announces that it has been awarded a $25,000 International Market Access Grant or “IMAG” Grant by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, or WEDC. The WEDC’s mission is to advance and maximize opportunities in Wisconsin for businesses, communities and people to thrive in a globally competitive environment.

“This is no freebie”, said Marianna “Yana” DeMyer, Roving Blue’s CEO; upon hearing the news.  “We had to work hard just to qualify for it, and now we will have to work even harder to fulfill the expectations that come with it.  We are so grateful to the WEDC for this assistance. This grant will super-charge our efforts to expose our product lines to the world. “

“Roving Blue is a great example of how Wisconsin companies can utilize WEDC’s international programs to help boost their exporting efforts,” said Katy Sinnott, WEDC’s Vice President of International Business Development. “Roving Blue has taken part in two WEDC trade ventures and has successfully completed our ExporTech training program, and we believe the IMAG grant will be a key part of the company’s ongoing export strategy.”

While the overall goal is to create jobs for Wisconsin, the near-term use of funds will be to make it easier for foreign customers to learn about Roving Blue products, to understand the technology, pricing and distribution policies, online and in print, in their native languages.
